A skull discovered by a mineral worker in Morocco in the early 1960s has helped scientists recreate the face of one of the earliest known members of our species, Homo sapiens. The digital reconstruction offers a glimpse of what a human who lived around 315,000 years ago might have looked like, combining features that remain familiar today with a more prominent brow and a projecting face.
